Les formations des paysagistes en Grande-Bretagne

Ce texte introduit plusieurs articles sur les formations de paysagistes en Grande-Bretagne. Il fait l'inventaire des formations universitaires de paysagistes. Le suivant concernera le fonctionnement du Landscape Institut de Londres et le troisième les formations doctorales dans le domaine des sciences du paysage.

 

Les formations de paysagiste accréditées par le Landscape Institut  de Londres

D'après les sites A want to be a Landscape architect   et  Landscape Institute (20 juin 2010).

Treize universités ont été sélectionnées par le Landscape institut qui agrée les candidats à l'exercice du métier d'architecte paysagiste en Grande Bretagne. 6000 étaient inscrits en 2009 et 3000 étaient agréés. Ces chiffres ont doublé de 2000 (1 500 agréés) à 2009. 

  • BA : Bachelor of Arts (Hons = avec mentions, 3 à 4 années)
  • Graduate diploma : Suit le Bachelor obtenu sans honours et donne accès au niveau post graduate
  • MSc : Master of sciences (un à deux ans à plein temps)
  • MA : Master of arts (un à deux ans à plein temps)
  • Undergraduate courses (niveau licence, 3 ou 4 ans)
